What a stressful couple of weeks it has been at work! Getting ready for High Point Furniture Market is like super duper design bootcamp! Wish me luck....

It is times like these that I so appreciate silly girly TV goodness. And at the top of that list is Gossip Girl!! The fashion is so much fun-I have become obsessed with the headband thanks to the GG Girls. What a lovely way to look pretty while you are having a nervous breakdown!

Maker Faire Austin

I haven't been an Austinite long (since April 07) but one of my very favorite things about this wacky place is its commitment to buying local & everyone's love of the DIY spirit. Which is why I simply cannot wait for the 2008 Maker Faire Austin! Maker Faire is a two-day, family-friendly event that celebrates the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset. It's for creative, resourceful people of all ages and backgrounds who like to tinker and love to make things.

Here is tha basic who, what and when:

Birdie Bath

It was actually cool in Austin today! Maybe I'm being optimistic, but it actually feels like fall is in the air. And one of my favorite things to do when the weather turns cooler is have a glass of wine and enjoy a good book in a hot bath. And, although sweet bright birds scream "springtime," I love them for year-round decorating. And there are such beautiful bird-themed bath treats out right now.
